About the Author

Rick Maher is 22years old, and due to graduate in May 2006 (2weeks) with a B.S. in Supply Chain Management from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Essentially what that means is that I will be turning into a corporate Johnny in the coming months as I start my full time job. Never the less I'll try to keep a decent little running log of the ups and downs of it all here at RickMaher.com

About the Site

In all honesty there is not a lot of high quality content here, but a few posts that have done well with visitors include:
  • "I Wonder How Much Money Beggars Make" - A post about my sociological curiosity in panhandlers, and the methods and variables associated with how much income they are able to generate.
  • "Using the Penny Tray" - Essentially a "how to" on managing the opportunity, risk, and reward of using the "take a penny leave a penny" trays at convenience stores.

You will also find posts about Arizona State University, my political views, Phoenix area restaurants, Arizona news, and reviews of books and movies I liked.

RickMaher.com is happily hosted by dreamhost who I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for a web host.
RickMaher.com runs on Movable Type and a number of plugins that I have dropped in t accentuate MT's capabilities. For the record, I use WordPress on most of my sites, and TextPattern on one of them, but for RickMaher.com, I think MT was the best option. Finally, regarding the design of RickMaher.com, many may recognize its similarities to UX Magazine. Basically I ran out of time before CSS Reboot, LOVED their design cues and was able to slop a few of them into what I was really going for. There is a good chance our designs will grow much farther apart as I have more time to dedicate to this site after graduation.

What Else?

If anyone ever decides to read through this, I'll be rather surprised. What I think you should do instead is cruise over to one of my other sites: Okay, seriously, read something from the archives or click on some ads or something...
